Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has pledged to take necessary initiatives to address the demands of Dr Govinda KC. Talking to a delegation of doctors headed by Dr KC at PM's Baluwatar residence this morning, Prime Minister Dahal said, "My assumption is that the state should take up the responsibility of basic needs of the people such as health and education. It is however difficult to address all issues within the current political culture, administrative mechanism and regulations ". Noting that he was impressed by the model adopted by Sri Lanka on education and health, PM said, "Sri Lanka is not a socialist, communist country. But the state has taken full responsibility for health and education.
